Range
Palearctic;
(1) Iceland.
(2) W. Europe in the British Isles and s. Scandinavia e. locally across c. Russia to s. Siberia and s. to n. Africa from Morocco to ne. Egypt.
(3) Turkey, cn. Arabia, probably Iraq, sw. and n. Iran, probably w. Afghanistan, and nw. India (Kashmir).
(4) E. Siberia in Amurland, Sea Okhotsk, Sakhalin Is. and s. Kuril Is. s. in n. China (Manchuria), Korea, Japan (Hokkaido and probably n. Honshu) and Taiwan.
Winters to se. Asia and Borneo.
