Central America s. to nw. South America. N. South America e. of the Andes;
Two populations;
(1) Gulf-Caribbean slope of s. Mexico (Tabasco and n. Chiapas), Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Both slope of Costa Rica and Panama to w. Colombia and w. Ecuador.
(2) Sc. Peru.
(3) Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana to Amazonian c. Brazil s. to Amazonas, Mato Grosso and Goias and e. Bolivia.
