Sinai, Israel, Jordan (s. Jordan River Valley), Syria, ex. s. Turkey, Saudi Arabia (Harrat al-Harrah and Mahazat as-Sayd Reserves) and Yemen and Oman to Iran, ex. w. Pakistan, Uzbekistan (s. of Aral Sea), Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan (Tau-Kum Desert and Buzachi Peninsula, n. Aral Sea), n. Afghanistan, and c. Asia in Mongolia (Altai) and China (Lap Nor, Jungar Basin).
Winters in Abu Dhabi, Arab Emirates, Cholistan desert of w. Pakistan (Baluchistan), nw. India and Egypt.
