Range

W. and se. Australia;
Fragmented distribution;
Mostly in Western Australia through the drier regions of the Northern Territory, ex. sw. Queensland, w. New South Wales (Leeton Swamp, s. Lake George), c. Victoria (Laverton Saltworks) and e. South Australia (Adelaide at ICI Saltworks to St. Kilda, also Port Augusta). However, scattered isolated populations occur throughout the country.
Wanders to Tasmania and New Zealand.
