Fragmented distribution;
Andaman Is., Malay Peninsula, Philippines s. through Indonesia to New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago, Solomon Is., New Caledonia and coastal n. and ne. Australia from n. Western Australia w. to Point Cloates, Northern Territory (East Point Recreational Park in Darwin), Queensland (Yule Point near Cairns and Cape Hillborough National Park) and ex. ne. New South Wales (Tweed Heads and Red Rock Caravan Park).
