Range

W. and c. Africa;
Two populations:
(1) S. Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, s. Niger, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, w. and s. Cameroon, Gabon, Congo and Zaire.
(2) Central African Republic and Lake Chad to Sudan, w. Ethiopia, Uganda, w. Kenya, w. Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, sc. Angola, ne. Namibia, n. Botswana, n. and e. Zimbabwe and w. Mozambique.
