N., e. and c. Africa just s. of the Sahara. Middle East;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Se. Turkey through n. and e. Iran to sw. Afghanistan, s. Pakistan and nw. India.
(2) N. Africa to Egypt (Sinai Peninsula) and across the s. Sahara in the Sahelian zone from Mauritania and Senegambia to Socotra Is. and the Arabian Peninsula (Yemen), Syria and Iraq to nw. India. Morocco and the Canary Is. Dahlak Archipelago in the s. Red Sea.
(3) Cape Verde Is.
(4) E. Ethiopia, Djibouti and n. Somalia.
(5) Ex. se Sudan through n. Kenya to s. Somalia.
