Range

E. c. to e. s. South America;
(1) A very small isolated population at Lavras in s. Ceara, e. Brazil.
(2) E. Brazil from c. Goias (Jaragua, Veadeiros), w. and c. Bahia (Chapada Diamantina), and Minas Gerais.
(3) Probably from the Bolivian border e. to c. Paraguay (w. of the Rio Paraguay about 150km and the Pilcomayo Valley), nc. Argentina (e. Formosa, Chaco).
(4) Se. Brazil from s. Mato Grosso (Vacaria, Campo Grande, Rio Brilhante), Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro (Campo), Rio Grande do Sol to e. Paraguay, Uruguay and ne. Argentina (Misiones, Corrientes, Entre Rios and n. Santa Fe).
(5) Nw. Argentina (Jujuy, n. and e. Salta, w. Formosa, Chaco, n. and w. Santiago del Estero, e. Catamarca).
(6) E. Argentina (c. Cordoba, s. Santa Fe, n. Buenos Aires to Bahia Blanca and s. to La Pampa.
(7) A small isolated population in the Andean foothills of sw. Argentina in n. Neuquen.
(8) S. Argentina (e. Rio Negro, ne. Chubut w. to se. Neuquen).
