Two populations;
Andes of ex. w. Venezuela (sw. Tachira, Paramo de Tama), c. Colombia (throughout the Andes, Pichincha), s. to sc. Ecuador along the e. slope of the Andes. C., e. and s. Peru from Piura, Acomayo and Huanuco to the Cordillera Vilcabamba, Cuzco).
