Sw. and se. Australia;
Three populations;
Coastal sw. Australia (ne. Lake Gore w. of Esperance) from Israelite Bay to vicinity of Geraldton and inland on salt lakes to Balladonia and Lake Deborah. Islands and coastal se. Australia from South Australia (beach opposite Golden Island in Coffin Bay National Park) w. to Spencer Gulf and Kangaroo Is. e. in Victoria (Barwon Heads w. of Queenscliffe, Wilson's Promontory, beach between Lakes Entrance and Lake Tyers Wingan Inlet in Croajingolong National Park) to New South Wales (beach in Nadgee National Park) n. to Shoalhaven Heads. Tasmania (Maria Island National Park at Darlington Beach, Cloudy Bay on Bruny Island) and islands in the Bass Strait.
