Range
E. Siberia and adjacent Is.;
Restricted breeding range;
Fragmented distribution in winter range;
Nw. coast of Sea of Okhotsk and Sahkalin Is. Possibly also along the coast of the n. Sea of Okhotsk and Kamchatka. Migrates through South Korea (Saemangeum wetlands and Youngjong-do Is.) and Taiwan.
Winters in in ne. India, Bangladesh, Burma, Hainan Is., e. China (Hong Kong in the ai Po marshes) and s. in the Malay Peninsula. May occur regularly in South Korea, Philippines and perhaps e. Sumatra.
