Range
N. Palearctic;
British Isles and Scandinavia e. across n. Russia and n. Siberia to the Chukotski Peninsula then s. to Denmark, Germany, Poland (Biebrza Marsh), c. Russia, ex. e. Turkestan, n. Mongolia, ex. ne. China (n. Manchuria, nw. Heilungkiang), Kamchatka, Kuril Is. and Commander Is. e. to w. and c. Aleutians (Attu, Amchitka and probably Adak).
Winter s. from Mediterranean region, s. Asia and Taiwan to s. Africa and Australia in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
