United States (Monomoy Is. off Cape Cod, Massachusetts).
Winters s. from s. United States (Massachusetts on Monomoy Is.), Central America, West Indies, Galapagos and Hawaiian Is. and South America (Brazil, Bahia) s. to n. Chile and ce. Brazil.
