Holarctic:
(1) Ne. Greenland.
Winters in nw. Africa.
(2) Se. Greenland, Iceland, Faeroes, British Isles, the Netherlands, s. Scandinavia and Baltic Sea region.
Winters in s. Europe and nw. Africa.
(3) N. Scandinavia, Sptizbergen and n. Russia, Novaya Zemlya e. to the Kolyma River.
Winters in w. Europe and the Mediterranean Basin e. to nw. India and Bangladesh (sparsely).
(4) N. Siberia from the Kolyma River e. to the Chokotski Peninsula and Anadyrland.
Winters in e. China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Some birds may also winter in w. North America.
(5) N. Sakhalin Is.
Wintering grounds unknown.
(6) N. Sea of Okhotsk and Koryakland (Koryak Mountains) through the Kamchatka Peninsula to the Kuril Is.
