Range
Arctic North America;
Two populations;
N. Alaska w. to Prudhoe Bay and e. in n. Canada from n. Yukon, n. Mackenzie, s. Victoria Is. and se. Keewatin along shores of w. and s. Hudson Bay, ne. Manitoba and n. Ontario at Cape Henrietta Maria.
Winters in sc. South America and locally in the s. United States.
