Sc. Asia;
Turkestan in the Pamir Mountains (Lake Kara-Kul), w. China (w. Xinjiang e. to se. Gansu) s. to Tibet and nw. India (Lake Ladakh in Kashmir).
Winters in e. Arabia, India, Sri Lanka and Indochina.
