Range

Tasmania and New Zealand;
Four populations;
(1) Is. off ne. Tasmania (Flinders Is. and Cape Barren Is.).
Disperses along coast of se. Australia from ex. se. Queensland, New South Wales (Wollongong and the coast from the mouth of the Shoalhaven River to Eden), Victoria, se. South Australia and Tasmania.
(2) New Zealand (North Island, South Island and Stewart Is.).
(3) Auckland Is., Chatham Is. and possibly Snares Is.
