Range

N. Atlantic Ocean and adjacent Arctic seas;
(1) High arctic of ne. Canada, nw. and e. Greenland e. to Jan Mayen, Spitsbergen (Svalbard) and n. Novaya Zemlya.
(2) E. Canada (se. Baffin Is., Labrador, Quebec (Digges Is.), Newfoundland, se. New Brunswick (Bay of Fundy, Seal Is., and Matinicus Rock) and ne. United States (Maine) e. in sw. and s. Greenland, Iceland, Bear Is., c. and n. Norway and nw. Russia (Kola Peninsula and s. Novaya Zemlya).
(3) Faroe Is., British Isles, Channel Is. and nw. France to s. Norway (Rost Archipelago).
