C. to se. South America. Sw. South America.
Two populations;
(1) Ne. Brazil (Maranhao, Ceara, Piaui, Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)).
(2) Bolivia, s. Brazil (Sao Paulo w. to Mato Grosso s. to Rio Grande do Sul (Barra do Quaraí)), Paraguay, Uruguay, c. Chile and c. Argentina s. to Mendoza and Buenos Aires.
Winters n. to e. Peru.
