W. New Guinea;
(1) Nw. New Guinea from the Vogelkop e. to Etna Bay and the Siriwo River.
(2) W. Papuan Is. (Misool Is., Salawati Is., Batanta Is. and Waigeo Is.).
Probably introduced to the s. Moluccas on Seram Is.
