Fragmented populations in sw. Canada and w. United State from Washington and interior of California, n. Utah, s. Arizona and w. New Mexico.
Continuously distributed from ex. s. Canada in s. Manitoba, s. Ontario, sw. Quebec, and s. New Brunswick s. in c. and e. United States from e. Wyoming and North Dakota to n. Mexico, the Gulf coast and s. Florida.
Winters in w. Mexico, the West Indies e. to the Virgin Is., probably in the Bahamas and n. Lesser Antilles s. in South America to Brazil (Bahia) and n. Argentina.
