Range

Ex. s. Central America and tropical South America;
E. Panama (Darien) and from nw., n., and e. Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam and Guiana s. e. of the Andes to Brazil (Bahia) and ne. Argentina. Birds have been reported from ne. Mexico (se. Tamaulipas along the Rio Tamesi).
