S. Asia. Greater Sundas. Philippines;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Himalayas of n. Pakistan, n. and e. India, se. Tibet, s. and se. China to se. Asia, the Philippines and Sulawesi.
Vagrant to Taiwan.
(2) Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo.
