Range

C. Europe. N. Europe through nc. Asia to Sakhalin Is.;
Two populations;
(1) N. Europe from c. and s. Scandinavia and the mountains of c. and e. Europe e. across c. Russia to w. Asia.
(2) E. Siberia to the Sea of Okhotsk and s. to ne. China (n. Manchuria).
