Range

N. North America. Wc. and n. Palearctic;
Two main populations with small isolated populations further s.;
(1) N. and c. Europe from Scandinavia across n. and c. Russia and s. to the Pyrenees, Alps and Balkans and e. to the Ural Mountains.
(2) N. Caucasus.
(3) Kazakhstan, w. China (Tien Shan and Tarbagatay Mountains), w. Siberia to ne. China (Heilongjiang) and Russian Far East ( Anadyrland, Kamchatka Peninsula and Sakhalin Is.), and possibly n. Japan.
(4) Ne. Siberia from Kolyma to Kamchatka.
(5) Ex. nw. India (Lahul), w. and c. China (Qinghai and Kansu).
(6) C. Alaska and n. Canada and n. United States from c. Yukon, s. Mackenzie, n. Saskatchewan, n. Manitoba, n. Ontario, c. Quebec, Labrador, and Newfoundland s. to s. Alaska, n. British Columbia, w. Washington, w. Oregon, c. Idaho, c. Saskatchewan, s. Manitoba, ne. Minnesota, w. and c. Ontario, s. Quebec and New Brunswick and locally in Montana, nw. Wyoming, Colorado and ex. n. New Mexico.
