Two main populations and several isolated populations;
(1) S. Alaska, s. Canada and w. United States from n. British Columbia and c. Alberta e. to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia and s. in mountains to c. California, ex. w. Texas, c. Oklahoma, c. Missouri, c. Ohio, West Virginia, w. Maryland and New York s. to c. Mexico.
