Ex. ne. Siberia from the lower Indigirka River e. to the Chukotski Pen. and the Anadyr River basin, St. Lawrence Is., Alaska (Alaskan Peninsula, Kodiak Is.), n. Canada from Banks, Victoria, Prince of Wales and c. Baffin Is. s. to sw. Yukon, s. Northwest Territories (s. Mackenzie, Great Slave Lake), ne. Alberta, n. Manitoba and nw. Ontario (Belcher Is., w. James Bay) with a local population in nw. Quebec (n. of Port Harrison).
Winter: Siberia, Korea, Japan, e. China s. to Shantung, se. Alaska, w. Canada, w. United States to w. Mexico (s. Baja and s. Sonora).
