Range

N. South America. Tropical South America s. of the Amazon; Two or three populations; (1) N. Colombia (Santa Marta Mountains), nw. and ce. Venezuela.
(2) E. of the Andes in e. Peru, e. Bolivia through Brazil (s. of the Amazon, Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)) s. in Paraguay, Uruguay and n. Argentina.
