Fragmented distribution with at least four populations;
Sw. Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, w. Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana. S. Nigeria, Fernando Po, sw. Cameroon. Sw. Central African Republic, w. Zaire (in the lower Congo River basin). E. Zaire, sw. and ex. se. Sudan, w. and s. Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
