Range

Nepal to Taiwan.
Four widely separated populations;
(1) C. Nepal.
Winters in se. Asia s. to Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Java.
(2) E. Himalayas of ne. India, Burma and se. China (Mai Po Marshes, Hong Kong in the spring) and Indochina.
Winters in Sumatra and Java.
(3) Taiwan.
Wintering range unknown.
