Highly fragmented and localized distribution;
Widely scattered records from the Caribbean lowlands of Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Lowlands and Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The cordilleras of n. Venezuela and the tepuis of s. Venezuela and Guyana.
