E. New Guinea. N. and e. Australia;
Three populations;
(1) E. New Guinea.
Winters in the Bismarck Archipelago (New Britain).
(2) Aru Is.
(3) S. New Guinea, n. and e. Australia (ne. Western Australia(?), Northern Territory (Yellow Waters in Kakadu National Park, Howard Park near Darwin) and ex. n. Queensland).
(4) Queenslands (Cairns Botanical Gardens and the Brisbane area) s. to New South Wales (Macleay River).
Disperses s. to Victoria.
Winters in e. New Guinea and Kai Is.
