Range

Ne. Africa. Near East through sc. Asia to nw. India;
Two widely separated populations;
(1) Sudan and Djibouti and ne. Egypt through the Near and Middle East (Israel and n. Arabia) to s. Russia s. to Pakistan and nw. India.
Migrates to nw. India and Africa.
(2) North Africa in s. Morocco, n. Algeria, Tunisia and w. Libya. Irregually in Mauritania, Mali, Senegambia, Nigeria and Lake Chad Basin; and s. of the Sahara to n. South Africa.
