Nepal (formerly) in the Himalayan foothills s. from Katmandu, ne. India (Assam to Mishmi Hills and n. Cachar, Manipur), s. Bhutan, e. Burma s. to Taok Plateau, Tenasserim, n. and w. Thailand (Um Prang, Chieng Mai, Thung Yai-Huai Kha Khaeng forest complex in Thung Yai Naresuan and Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuaries) to sw. China (e. Medoq of Xisang region, s. Xishuangbanna in Yunnan), n. and c. Laos (s. to Xieng-Khouang, Nakai-Nam Theun National Biodiversity Conservation Area) and n. Vietnam (Tranninh).
