Range

Ne. India to se. Asia and Greater Sundas;
Four major populations;
(1) Ne. India n. to Buxa in Bengal, Dejoo and Rangagora in Assam, s. Bhutan, Burma n. to Dalu, Mt. Trus Madio and the islands of the Mergui Archipelago (Kadan Kyun, Letsok-aw Kyun, Kanmaw Kyun), Thailand n. to Chiang Saen and islands in the Gulf of Thailand (Ko Kut, Ko Chang) and islands along the Strait of Malacca (Junk Ceylon, Lauta, Tarutao), Cambodia and the islands of Quan Phu Quoc, Vietnam n. to Khuang Nam, Vinh Linh and Quang Binh Province, Laos at Tranninh, nc. peninsular Malaysia (Belum area) including the islands of Langkawi and Pinang.
(2) S. Malaysia, Sumatra and the islands of Musala, Lingga Archipelago, Batu Is., Java and the w. island of Panaitan, Bali and Borneo in Kalimantan, Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei.
