W. to e. Africa;
Two main populations with isolated populations at the e. end of the range;
(1) Sw. Sengal, Sierra Leone, w. Guinea, Liberia to s. Nigeria.
(2) Se. Nigeria, Fernando Po, s. Cameroon to w. Zaire and nw. Angola e. to s. Sudan, Uganda, c. Kenya, sc. Zaire, n. Burundi. N., nw., and w. Tanzania (Loliondo, Kigoma s. to Kungwe-Mahare Mountains.
(3) Sw. Tanzania (Tanzania, Ufipa Plateau).
