Range

Se. Atlantic Ocean;
Ex. restricted range;
Breeds only on Boswainbird Is. (a flat-topped, steep-sided rock of 3ha), 250m off Ascension Is. in the tropical South Atlantic Ocean.
Disperses into adjacent waters with vagrants to the coast of West Africa in the Gulf of Guinea (Cameroon, Gabon, s. to the mouth of the Congo River). Formerly nested on Ascension Is. Still frequents the volcanic slopes of Ascension Is.
