Canada in ne. British Columbia, sw. Mackenzie, n. and c. Alberta e. to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and ne. United States s. to ne. Minnesota, n. Wisconsin, n. Michigan, ne. New York and c. New England. Isolated breeding populations in Colorado and West Virginia.
Winters s. to Panama, Colombia and Venezuela.
