(1) W. to c. Canada (ec. British Columbia, s. Mackenzie, n. and sc. Alberta, c. and s. Saskatchewan, c. and s. Manitoba s. in the nc. United States to w. and se. North Dakota, se. South Dakota, and nw. Minnesota.
Winters s. to the Gulf coast and nw. Mexico (nw. Baja).
(2) E. Canada (coastal marshes along s. James Bay and sw. Hudson Bay, n. Ontario, and w. Quebec).
Winters s. to n. Florida.
(3) E. Canada (se. Quebec along the s. shore of the St. Lawrence River from Montmagny to Point-au-Pere, and locally along the n. shore of the lower St. Lawrence estuary and Atlantic coast of e. Quebec, Magdalen Is., Prince Edward Is., Nova Scotia) s. to ne. United States in e. and sw. Maine (Popham Marsh and Scarborough Marsh).
Winters s. to South Carolina and n. Florida.
