W. Australia; E. Australia;
Two populations;
Sw. and w. Australia from the coast of the Great Australian Bight to the Kimberley region in n. Western Australia with major concentration s. and w. of a line from Esperance on the w. coast of the Bight to Kalgoorlie and then to Geraldton on the w. coast. E. Australia from nc. and s. Queensland s. through New South Wales (Murray-Darling Region) to Victoria, c. and e. South Australia with major concentration se. and s. of a line from Cairns to Winton and Thargomindah in Queensland to Innamincka, Oodnadatta and Port Lincoln on the South Australia coast and Tasmania.
