Ne. Mexico s. to sc. South America; Ex. se. United States;
Two populations;
(1) Ex. se. United States (s. Florida) and Mexico (Sinaloa and Tamaulipas including Cozumel Is. off Quintana Roo) to Panama.
(2) South America (below ca. 2100m) Colombia (w. of the Andes, Cauca Valley, Meta) s. to w. Ecuador and e. to Venezuela (w. Zulia, Lara, Trujillo, Merida, Carabobo, nw. Amazonas, c. Bolivar, Chacachacare Is. and Patos Is.), Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana and Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina, Lencois, Boa Nova, Caete-Acu, and Ibiquara) then s. through w. and e. Ecuador, e. Peru (Huanuco, Junin, Cuzco), e. Bolivia (Pando, La Paz, Cochabamba), Paraguay, n. Argentina (Jujuy, Tucuman, Misiones) and Chile(?).
