C. and s. e. Africa;
Two populations;
S. Sudan, sw. Ethiopia, w. and s. Kenya (Taita Hills, Voi, Nanyuki, Lewa Downs, Samburn Game Refuge, Ololokwe and Baringo near Lokitaung), Uganda (Mt. Elgon) and ne. Tanzania (Gol Mountains in Serengeti National Park and Olosirwa in the Crater Highlands), Malawi, e. Zambia, sw. Mozambique, Zimbabwe (Batoka Gorges along the Zambezi River) and ne. South Africa.
