C. and e. Africa;
One main populations with several scattered isolated populations;
Cameroon, Gabon, n. Angola, Central African Republic to s. Sudan, w. Ethiopia, w., s., and se. Kenya (c. highlands, Rift Valley, Mara Game Refuge, Amboseli National Park, Lake Jipe and Arusha National Park), se. and ce. Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, ne. Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa (Cape Province).
