Ne. Siberia e. from the e. Taymyr Peninsula , Kharaulakh Mountains, Lena River Delta and Kolyma River e. to Chokotski Peninsula and ex. n. Kamchatka s. to Anadyrland and Koryakland. Locally and sporatically in w. and n. Alaska at Point Barrow and Seward Peninsula.
Winters s. in s. Asia in e. India, Burma, s. China (Guangdong, Hong Kong, Hainan), Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia to Solomon Is., New Guinea, Australia (w. and n. Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, se. South Australia), Tasmania and New Zealand.
