N. Pacific Ocean;
(1) Yellow Sea and Sea of Japan off the coasts of Amurland, Sahkalin Is., Dagelet Is., Korea and Kuril Is. to n. Sea of Okhotsk (Talan Is.) and Kamchatka then e. through the Aleutains and s. Alaska (Sanak Is. St. Lazaria Is., Forrester Is., Kodiak Is., Semidi Is., Shumigan Is., Sandman Reefs) and s. to the Queen Charlotte Is. off w. Canada (British Columbia) and nw. United States (Carroll Is., Washington).
Disperses into the n. Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea and s. to Japan, the Ryukyu Is. and n. Baja.
